Our team offers Standard First Aid courses from the national leader, St. John Ambulance. We offer courses at a discounted price, only for UofT students.

Effective First Aid Coverage
During the academic year, our fully staffed team of Medical Responders are here to help.
On – Call Services
ECSpeRT provides on-call services every week Monday 8AM to Saturday 8AM. For medical assistance, call our emergency line or Campus Police 24 hours a day, five days a week.
Pub Night Coverage
ECSpeRT patrols every pub night of the year. If you need help, give us a call. We will respond anywhere on campus, including your residence.
Event Coverage
Are you hosting an event on or off campus and would like us to be there? Simply fill out the Request Coverage Form below and drop it off at our office. We will do our best to provide you with a fully staffed team.

Mike Thomas
Founder. BA. ACP. MPEd. MSJ
Mike founded ECSpeRT with a vision of safety for everyone on the UTM campus. He worked tirelessly with St. John Ambulance and the University to make his dream come true.

HBSc. JD
A graduate from University of Toronto Faculty of Law, Kimberly is a practicing lawyer in the areas of medical negligence and pharmaceutical class action. During her time at ECSpeRT, Kimberly was a member of our Executive Council as the Divisional Training Officer.

Gurveer Bains
HBSc. MA. PhD Candidate
Gurveer Bains is a PhD Student in Health/Medical Geography with a specialization in Global Health at the UofT. She served as an Advanced Medical First Responder and Campus Services Coordinator during her tenure with ECSpeRT.

Daniel Almedia
HBSc., PhD Candidate, CIHR Vanier Scholar
Graduated UTM in 2014 and is currently a doctoral candidate in neuroscience and psychiatry at McGill University focusing on the neuroepigenetic consequences of abuse in brain of those who died by suicide. Nominated Vanier Scholar.
